Peter Wigand is an unlimited, licensed General Contractor with over 46 years of industry experience (NC General Contractor Unlimited #32768). He is sole owner of Blue Chip Builders and has been operating in Wilmington, NC for over 30 years as a custom residential and light commercial building company. With the primary focus centering on quality, Blue Chip Builders pride themselves on being “Code Plus” Builders.
In an industry that is sometimes marked by missed deadlines and shortcuts, Blue Chip Builders provide high-quality construction and reliable service. Founder, Peter Wigand, is an on-site general contractor. His personal involvement is centered on each facet of the job; you’ll be sure to meet him on your project.

We worked with Peter Wigand when we remodeled our master bathroom. We are thrilled with the final outcome, which was finished on budget and in a timely manner. Peter helped us develop a strategy for fixing our water-damaged floor and updating our 1960s bathroom into an attractive, functional space.
Peter explained issues clearly and was timely with communication using email, texting, phone calls, and face-to-face conversations. We were impressed with Peter’s effort to keep our home (and bedroom) clean while the master bathroom was under construction, and we felt very little imposition despite the work crews being in our home. We were also very happy with the subcontractors Peter hired and found everyone he brought into our home to be professional and courteous.
